The masked pair kept their momentum going at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution in December, overcoming the challenge of The Vaudevillains.The Lucha Dragons’ reign came to a close in early 2015, however, when the young pairing of Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Kalisto & Sin Cara for the titles!During their title rematch at NXT TakeOver: Rival on Feb. 11, The Lucha Dragons lost again to Blake & Murphy onWWE Network.Kalisto’s next big milestone came in February 2015 when The Lucha Dragons made their debut as a team on the WWE main roster and never looked back. Kalisto has also gained successful outside of just the tag ranks. Following the injury suffered by Seth Rollins, Buoyed by the notoriety he earned during his Cinderella runi in the 2015 WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, Kalisto found himself among the trio of survivors in the 5-on-5Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match at Survivor Series 2015. And most recently, The Lucha Dragons battled WWE Tag Team Champions The New Dayand The Usos in a fierce Triple Threat Ladder Match at WWE TLC.Regardless of whether hes carrying a championship, Kalisto continues his plan to conquer the competition while demonstrating the time-honored art of lucha.
